    30 for 30: Day Four~Preppy Mama

    Wednesday, November 10, 2010

I am not the living embodiment of the "Prepster" lifestyle. That said, I do find the look aesthetically pleasing.

Especially argyles and plaids. I have a deep, abiding love for argyles and plaids.

I suppose that the sweater chosen in the next ensemble should be no surprise then...

Before I delve any further into this ensemble, though, I really need to give credit where credit is due. My sweet girl, light of my life, firstborn and all around wonderful person is the reason these pictures are even up here today.

Thank you, Eldest, for helping your Mom out and for being such a good photographer. Perhaps it's a skill we should work on? Thank you, thank you, my spunky, punky girl!

She was very pleased with how her pictures turned out, and I can see why. I feel very comfortable letting Eldest handle the camera and take more pictures in the future.

I think she definitely added a little something special to these pictures!

I think while my previous outfits were favorites due to the comfort found in the individual elements, this is a favorite due to its style. From the argyle sweater, to the camel colored wool skirt, it's all very classic, a little more luxe than the other items, and every bit as practical.

As always, the details also matter.

The three buttons along each sleeve are unexpected and though you can't see it, the detail is playful and young (crowns).

But enough about crowns, let's break it down!

From the "30 to 30" list:

I won't lie, I had to change later in the afternoon since it grew colder, but I didn't count it as one of my "30 for 30"'s. If you come back tomorrow, though you'll see what I pulled together for the-

    dum, dum, dum-

    Parent/Teacher Conference with Eldest's teachers!

    I'll see you then!

Before I finished your post, I was hoping to find out where you got your outfit and so glad you included that detail! Those shoes and sweater are fabulous. And your daughter has quite the eye for photography. :)

Very timeless look! I love argyle and during the winter, tend to wear something argyle at least once or twice a week (argyle brown and dark pink socks today with trousers. Your daughter's photography skills are wonderful, definitely a hobby she might want to consider. Miss SPLS
