    Halloween Wreaths for Children

    Tuesday, October 2, 2012

During my mother's visit in August, we happened upon some cute hand-knit Halloween ornaments at TJ Maxx.

It was too early to do anything with them, of course, but I knew they'd be snatched up quickly. And since I knew two children who would love crafting with them come October, into the basket they went.

It turned out to be a good decision! On the eve before October 1st, the children sat at our dining table and created their Halloween wreaths together.

It was simple, it was inexpensive, and best of all it was fun.

Using their Christmas wreaths (that have become year-round wreaths), the children chose their ornaments and went to town.

I may have played around with them a little, too.

When all was said and done, both children were happy, their doors looked festive, and October felt much more official!

Come by later this week and I'll show you what else we've been up to. See you then!

Thank you Ruth! The children had a fun time playing with the ornaments and putting them on their wreaths.
