After a year in the this sunny state there are time when I still feel like a newcomer. During October everyone was talking about Underwood Farms. It was the first I'd heard of it, but by the way everyone was tossing the name around, it was obviously an institution~and one worth visiting. They have pumpkin patches, a farmer's market, crops to pick from, and a barn. Apparently they also hosted wonderful birthday parties. I think the scallywag would agree that they do!
From a slide connected to an old combine,
to climbing a haystack mountain,
then taking a carriage ride through the entire farm, both children and adults alike enjoyed the sunny day outdoors.
My little guy fed some of the animals, but this time he didn't want a pony ride or participate in a tractor race. His eyes latched onto a wooden train with a jack-o-lantern face and didn't want to leave it!
I did try. He said no to the cow cars, and no to the bouncy house. He was all over the train. Can you guess what finally persuaded him to leave? Take one guess. Just one. If you guessed birthday cake, you would be correct!
He was one of the most enthusiastic singers and probably the one with the most amount of drool on his chin. In his defense, the birthday boy's cake really did look delicious! And if you're wondering if it tased as good as it looked...
It really did.
Here's to hope you're all enjoying these Autumnal days as much as we are! We're very thankful for them.
