Construct Jewelry is a New Orleans based jewelry collection owned and run by Sacred Heart alum Lauren Eckstein Schonekas. It's her passion and eye for beautiful detail that has brought her great acclaim in the Big Easy. I'm going to let her tell you a bit about herself, as well as her thoughts on her jewelry line. Crescent City natives: please take note of where Construct Jewelry is sold! You're going to want to pick up several pieces.
Art and design have always been an integral part of my life. As a native of New Orleans, I've had many opportunities to explore the diverse art, architecture, and passions surrounding me. My obsession with details and passion for manipulating materials-as well as the notion that nothing is static-became the driving forces behind Construct Jewelry. My collection is a meticulous amalgamation of modern verve and classic grace. Every unique piece encompasses a vintage element with new materials, striking the perfect balance between elegant and edgy. Tremendously versatile and affordable, Construct Jewelry can be effortlessly worn for special occasions or a casual day outing. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and demonstrates the personality of a true Southern Belle through a perfect balance of a bold and confident appearance, contained in structured grace.
Thanks so much, Lauren! She's gorgeous, isn't she? I'm going to toot Lauren's horn a bit more by mentioning that her growing success has been recognized in several local press sources, including New Orleans Tidbits, NOLA Vie, Nola Defender, New Orleans Home and Lifestyles, Cue (Gambit’s fashion magazine), New Orleans Living, and was a featured designer in New Orleans Fashion Week. Construct Jewelry is carried at several retail outlets such as, Haute, Wedding Belles, Mirabella, Angelique, Vintage 329, and Ogden's Center for Southern Craft and Design. She is branching out to other boutiques locally and nationally as she is now represented by Showroom South.
With all the exquisite pieces she has available it was very hard to choose just one. But in the end, these lovely earrings made me want to put on my dancing shoes, get dolled up, and take my husband out for a night on the town! There's something very Gatsby-esque about them, don't you think?
As we're both Rosary girls (and as her former babysitter), it's a treat to combine our efforts for this giveaway. I was so lucky to even get these earrings~her pieces sell very fast. Considering each piece is one-of-a-kind, if you love something on her site or in the various boutiques around New Orleans, snap. It. Up.
